'Possibility Of Elections If BJP Ready To Face People': Ex-CM Omar Abdullah On Demand For Polls In J&K

Former J&K CM Omar Abdullah said on Saturday that if the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is afraid, there will be no elections, but elections can be held if they are willing to face the people.

Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and National Conference vice-president Omar Abdullah said on Saturday that if the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is afraid, there will be no elections, but if they are willing to face the people, elections can be held.

"If BJP is terrified then there won't be elections & if they are ready to face people then there are possibilities of conducting elections":  Abdullah was quoted as saying by the news agency ANI.

Speaking on the recent paper leak case, the National Conference vice-president said, "They were forced to cancel on Aptech, Why did they bring a fraud company? If it was a blacklisted company why did they bring it in before? Companies are fraud, officials are fraud there is no justice for honest people & youth here".

Abdullah Calls J&K Administration 'Incompetent' On Conman Issue

Earlier in the day, Abdullah called the Jammu and Kashmir administration "incompetent" after a conman posing as a PMO official received the necessary perks and claimed it was duped four times, news agency PTI reported.

Kiran Patel, a fraudster from Gujarat, posed as an additional director (strategy and campaigns) in the Prime Minister's Office and received numerous benefits, including a bulletproof car and security cover, among other things.

Omar Abdullah said at a party function in the south Kashmir district, "Despite numerous requests, my colleagues are not provided with security. When they need to travel and look for an escort, the police say they don't have a vehicle or personnel... It's fine that you don't have a car; we won't complain. However, if a fraudster approaches from the outside, you have the vehicle." According to the NC leader, a person came from Gujarat and claimed to be an officer in the PMO, but no one verified his claim.

According to the former chief minister of J&K, the fraudster was given a bulletproof vehicle, an escort in the front and another in the back, a room in a five-star hotel, and meetings with officers every evening.

In response to Patel's photographs and videos that have gone viral on social media, the NC leader stated that Patel visited Gulmarg to inspect hotels and even visited the Line of Control (LoC) in the Uri sector, where confidential information may have been shared with him.
