J&K: Terrorists Targeting Minorities And Hindus, Displacement Of Kashmiri Pandit Resumes

The displacement of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley has resumed after militants targeted minorities and Hindus in Kashmir and hundreds of families from the Valley have so far moved to Jammu.

At the same time, their families are also appealing to the rest of the Kashmiri Pandits living in Kashmir to come back from there as soon as possible. For the past two weeks, there has been a steady rise in violence in the Kashmir Valley and incidents of targeting minorities and Hindus in this violence. These changed conditions in Kashmir have affected Kashmiri Pandits the most.

Centre wants Kashmiri Pandits to settle in Kashmir

The Central Government constantly wants to resettle Kashmiri Pandits back to Kashmir but such incidents are questioning the return of Kashmiri Pandits home. Before telling how such incidents have affected Kashmiri Pandits, many families fled Kashmir and reached Jammu in the early hours of Saturday morning in Jagati, Jammu's largest Kashmiri Pandit displaced colony.

This family is refusing to talk on TV. But, when these people reached Jagati due to fear and dread, this family heaved a sigh of relief. About 45 families live in the Jagati displaced colony of Jammu and most of the families of these families are either working in Kashmir under the PM package or keep going to Kashmir in one way or the other. At Jagati camp, we found a father whose children are working in a private company in Kashmir. The father is extremely upset with the situation that has prevailed in the Kashmir Valley for the past 15 days and is now asking his children to come back.

Today's situation worsens since 1990

A helpless father says that even in 1990 there were no such situations that have now arisen in the Kashmir Valley when Hindus are being selectively killed. This father believes that neither he nor his children living in Kashmir have eaten for the past several days and are constantly worried about the safety of their children.

ABP News also found a man named Naveen in Jagati whose parents are in Kashmir. Naveen's parents go to Kashmir frequently to take care of the business and for take care of his property. But, about 2 months ago, when he reached Kashmir this time, he hardly knew that the situation in Kashmir would change that much.

According to Naveen, he is deeply saddened by what has been happening in the Kashmir Valley in the last 15 days and his parents and his grandmother now want to flee to Jammu. According to Naveen, his parents are very old and they cannot come to Jammu without security and now he is worried about the safety of his parents.

According to Sunil Pandita, who has been social-service for the past several years at Jagati displaced camp in Jammu, about 70 families have fled the Kashmir Valley in Jagati Colony for the past few days. According to him, the situation in Kashmir has become worse since 1990 and the government should take responsibility for it.

According to Sunil, ordinary Muslims can never carry out such incidents and there is a big conspiracy behind it that plots kashmiri Pandits or people from outside states not to settle in Kashmir. According to Maharaj Krishna, the opposition has a big hand in worsening the situation in Kashmir. Hitting out at National Conference Supremo Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mukti, Maharashtra admits that when Kashmiri Pandits were displaced in 1990, no leader made statements that are being made.

According to Kashmiri Pandits living in Jagati, the displacement that is taking place in Kashmir due to these conditions will continue for the next several days. And the Kashmiri Pandits living there want to come to Jammu as soon as they can.
