IndiGo Sharjah-Hyd Flight Diverted To Pak’s Karachi After Pilot Reports Technical Defect In Aircraft
Indigo stated that after the pilot of the Sharjah-Hyderabad flight observed a technical defect in the aircraft, as a precaution the aircraft was diverted to Karachi, Pakistan.
New Delhi: An IndiGo Sharjah-Hyderabad flight was on Sunday diverted to Pakistan’s Karachi after its pilot reported a technical defect in the aircraft which is being examined at the airport. The airline is planning to send another aircraft to Karachi.
"After the pilot of the Sharjah-Hyderabad flight observed a technical defect in the aircraft, as a precaution the aircraft was diverted to Karachi, Pakistan. An additional flight is being sent to Karachi to fly the passengers to Hyderabad," IndiGo airlines stated, as quoted by news agency ANI.

This is the second Indian airline to make a landing in Karachi in two weeks.
Previously, a Dubai-bound SpiceJet flight from Delhi was diverted to Karachi on July 5 as the fuel indicator started malfunctioning. As per ANI, more than 150 passengers were onboard the SpiceJet flight (Delhi-Dubai) that made an emergency landing in Karachi, Pakistan after developing a technical fault. Following this, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Tuesday ordered a probe into the incident.
