India's FS S. Jaishankar demands action from Islamabad over mutilation of 2 Indian soldiers

New Delhi: On Wednesday, India's Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar summoned Pakistani High Commissioner Abdul Basit to convey India's outrage and demanded action from Islamabad over the killing and barbaric mutilation of the bodies of two Indian soldiers by Pakistan Army personnel on May 1. On Monday, army's Naib Subedar Paramjeet Singh and the BSF's Head Constable Prem Sagar were killed. Their bodies mutilated in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district of J&K. As per reports, Pakistan's cocktail of military and the terrorists-Border Action Team (BAT) was behind the heinous crime close to the Line of Control (LoC). "Foreign Secretary conveyed India's outrage at the killing and the barbaric act of mutilation of the bodies of two Indian soldiers on May 1, 2017, by Pakistan Army personnel," the External Affairs Ministry said in a statement, reported news agency IANS. "It was significant that the attack was preceded by covering fire from Pakistani posts in Battal sector (in vicinity of village Battal)," it said. "Blood samples of Indian soldiers that have been collected and the trail of blood on Roza Nala clearly shows that the killers returned across the Line of Control." On Wednesday, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) summoned Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit and demanded action against the Pakistan Army personnel responsible for the mutilation of two Indian Army soldiers at Krishna Ghati sector in Jammu and Kashmir. • Consider it a strong act of provocation, was preceded by covering fire from Pak soldiers: Gopal Baglay, MEA on mutilation of Indian soldiers, reported ANI.
• MEA have demanded from Pakistan that whoever from their Army was behind this incident be punished, said Gopal Baglay.
• Pak Envoy denied that his country's army was involved, but assured he will convey contents of our demarche to his Govt: MEA after summoning Pak Envoy
• Gopal Baglay further said that some NGO had invited Pakistani school children and we then advised the NGO that this is not the right time for such exchanges.
