India Yet Again Reports Highest Single Day Surge, Records Over 4.14 Lakh New Covid Cases
India reported over 4.14 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours. The country also registers 3,915 fatalities.
India reports 4,14,188 new COVID19 cases, 3,31,507 discharges, and 3,915 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per Union Health Ministry.

Delhi's positivity rate has dropped below 25 - to 24.29 per cent for the first time since April 18. On April 22 it hit a record high of 36.3 per cent, meaning one in three tests were returning Covid positive results.
Karnataka's active caseload breached five lakh with 49,058 fresh COVID-19 infections on Thursday, while the toll stood at 17,212 with 328 deaths, the health department said. According to the department bulletin, the infection count is now 17,90,104 whereas there are 5,17,075 active cases in the state.
Kerala has recorded the highest ever single-day spike of 42,464 COVID cases on Thursday. The test positivity rate was registered at 27.28 percent. The death toll reached 5628 with 62 fatalities.
Coronavirus cases rise unabated across the globe with 156,672,849 infected by the deadly contagion. While 134,855,280 have recovered, 3,269,034 have died so far. The US remains the worst-hit country with 33,367,812, followed by India, Brazil, France, and Turkey. However, in the past seven days, India has added the highest number of fresh cases at 2,702,756, followed by Brazil (412,657) and the US (335,620).
