India Records Less Than 19K New Covid Cases In Past 24 Hrs, Active Caseload Lowest In 203 Days

Covid-19 Cases, 6 October 2021: The country's active cases account for less than 1% of total cases, currently at 0.73% which is lowest since March 2020

Corona Cases Update: Maintaining the downward trend of Coronavirus cases for the past few days, India has reports 18,833 new cases in the last 24 hours. The cases reported on Wednesday are the lowest in 210 days, according to the Union Health Ministry.

The country's active cases account for less than 1% of total cases, currently at 0.73%; Lowest since March 2020

India's Active caseload stands at 2,46,687; lowest in 203 days. The country's recovery rate is witnessing an upward trend and is currently at 97.94% which is the highest since March 2020

24,770 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 3,31,75,656.

Weekly Positivity Rate is at 1.68% which is less than 3% for last 103 days, while the daily positivity rate is 1.34% which is less than 3% for last 37 days

57.68 crore Covid-19 Tests have been conducted so far. 92.17 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive.

Kerala

Kerala, which is showing a decline in daily fresh cases after crossing the 30,000 mark post-Onam festival in August, on Monday logged less than 10,000 cases -- 9,735 to be exact -- and 151 deaths, taking the active cases to 124509.

The number of people who recovered from the infection since Sunday was 17,007, which brought the total recoveries to 45,74,206 and the number of active cases to 1,28,736, an official press release said.

As many as 74,871 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, it said.

Among the 14 districts, Thrissur recorded the highest number of cases with 1367, followed by Thiruvananthapuram (1156) and Ernakulam (1099).


Maharashtra

Maharashtra on Tuesday reported 2,401 fresh COVID-19 cases, and 39 fatalities, taking the tally of infections to 65,64,915 and the death toll to 1,39,272, a health department official said.

As compared to Sunday, when Maharashtra reported 2,026 COVID-19 cases and 41 fatalities, the state witnessed a marginal increase in the count of infections as well as deaths due to coronavirus infection.

Maharashtra's case recovery rate now stands at 97.32 percent while the fatality rate is 2.12 percent.
