India Registers Significant Drop With 3.66 Lakh New Covid Cases, 3,754 Deaths In Last 24 Hrs
India has witnessed a slight dip in number of Covid fatalities but the country has been registering more than 4,000 COVID-19-related deaths for 2 days.
Covid in India: With 3,66,161 fresh infections, India recorded a significant drop in the number of daily Covid-19 cases. India reports 3,53,818 discharges and 3,754 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per Union Health Ministry.

Coronavirus cases are surging rapidly in states like Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Haryana, Odisha and Uttarakhand.
Maharashtra reported 48,401 new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases and 920 deaths, followed by Karnataka (47,930), Kerala (35,801), Uttar Pradesh (23,333), Tamil Nadu (28,897), West Bengal (19,441), Delhi (13,336) in the past 24 hours.
The six most affected states by total cases are Maharashtra (5,101,737), Karnataka (1,934,378), Kerala (1,922,249), Uttar Pradesh (1,503,490), Tamil Nadu (1,380,259), Delhi (1,323,567), and Andhra Pradesh (1,287,603).
On both May 7 and 8, India recorded more than 4,000 COVID-19-related deaths. Prior to May 7, the daily recorded deaths in the country never crossed the 4,000 mark.
Only 20.23 lakh daily vaccine doses were administered in the country in the 24 hours ending 7 a.m. on May 10, which is about 3.49 lakh doses lesser than what was recorded in the previous 24 hours.
