I.N.D.I.A Stopped BJP From Toppling Jharkhand Government: Rahul Gandhi

Gandhi said that the BJP once again attempted to steal and destabilise a government chosen by the people of Jharkhand.

The BJP attempted to undermine the Jharkhand government elected by the people, but the INDIA bloc stood up to its "conspiracy" and refused to allow it "steal the popular mandate," Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said on Friday as his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra visited the eastern state, news agency PTI reported. Addressing the crowd, Gandhi claimed the BJP has "money power and probe agencies," but he and the Congress are not afraid of them and would continue to battle against the governing party's "divisive ideology."

The former Congress president stated that the previous Bharat Jodo Yatra was against the "divisive agenda" of the RSS and the BJP, but the present yatra seeks justice for the people of the country.

Gandhi said that the BJP once again attempted to steal and destabilise a government chosen by the people of Jharkhand.

The Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) stood up to the BJP's "conspiracy" and refused to allow it "steal the popular mandate," he claimed.

There is pervasive unfairness throughout the country, including "backbreaking price hikes and rising unemployment". It is hard for youth to get work under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's India, he continued.

Later, sharing a video of his remarks on X, Gandhi said: "Narendra Modi's policies are a guarantee of unemployment. The youth cannot get employment in the India he is building."

Gandhi accused the Modi government's demonetization policy and "flawed GST" execution for the "destruction of small and medium industries," which he stated are the core of employment generation in the nation, during remarks at a flag-handover ceremony marking the yatra's entry into Jharkhand from West Bengal.

He said that the country's unemployment rate is currently at its highest in 40 years.

Gandhi invited the people of Jharkhand to participate in the Nyay Yatra, saying he would listen to their problems.

"We listen to your Mann Ki Baat and not do our Mann Ki Baat," he said.

The former Congress president stated that the Nyay Yatra intends to pursue economic and social justice, as well as justice for farmers, youth, and other marginalised people.

In a post on X, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said: "Picture of the day: @RahulGandhi with the newly sworn-in CM of Jharkhand, Shri Champai Soren ji, in Pakur at the flag handover ceremony of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. Champai Soren ji is popularly known as the Tiger of Jharkhand for his remarkable role in the public agitiation for the creation of a separate state."

"The horse-traders in Delhi please take note -- ”the land of Dharti Aba Bhagwan Birsa Munda will resist and defeat your politics of injustice," he said.

Champai Soren, who was sworn in as Jharkhand's chief minister earlier on Friday, also addressed the public meeting and expressed his entire support for the Nyay Yatra.

JMM executive president Hemant Soren was detained by the Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday night in a money laundering case related to an alleged land scam after resigning as Jharkhand Chief Minister.

The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will be in Jharkhand for eight days, divided into two sections, covering 13 districts.
