Miscreants Damage Two Mosques Using Molotov Cocktails In Haryana's Nuh

Internet and SMS services in Nuh and mobile internet in Faridabad, Palwal, Sohna subdivision and Manesar will remain suspended till August 5.

Motorbike-borne assailants hurled Molotov cocktails at two mosques in Tauru in Harayan’s Nuh on Wednesday night. While no one was injured in the incident, both mosques suffered some damage. At around 11:30 pm, a mosque located near Vijay Chowk and another located near a police station were damaged by the miscreants. As soon as the information was given to the fire station, fire brigades rushed to the mosques and the fire was doused.

A bangle shop in Palwal district’s Minar Gate market was also set ablaze by unknown assailants, police were reported as saying by PTI.

Prohibitory orders are in place in both Nuh and Palwal districts, in view of the communal violence that erupted in Nuh on Monday after a mob tried to stop a Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) procession. Internet and SMS services in Nuh and mobile internet in Faridabad, Palwal, Sohna subdivision and Manesar will remain suspended till August 5, as reported by the news agency ANI.

A total of 45 FIRs have been registered so far, and 139 people have been arrested in connection with the violence. None of the FIRs filed carry the names of Bajrang Dal or VHP. Three FIRs related to the videos posted on social media have been registered. A total of 10 URLs were identified.

Mobs killed a cleric, torched an eatery and vandalised shops as communal violence that began in Nuh spilled over into neighbouring Gurugram on Tuesday. Six people have died so far in the violence, 116 people have been arrested and 90 detained, according to the Haryana government.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to stop protest rallies being carried out by the VHP and Bajrang Dal in Delhi-NCR region in the wake of the communal clashes in Haryana's Nuh and Gurugram.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday said that no one involved in the Nuh violence will be spared and justice will be done for the victims and their families.

“Strict and decisive action will be taken against anyone found guilty of involvement in the Nuh violence. No one will be spared. Justice for the victims and their families will be ensured,” he said, adding no action will be taken against those who are innocent.
