New Delhi: Former senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel's son Faisal Patel on Tuesday has openly shown his resentment against the grand-old party saying, "he has been tired of waiting".

Ahmed Patel died in November 2020 after a prolonged illness. Patel was considered one of the closest leaders to Sonia Gandhi. He was also the political advisor to Sonia Gandhi.
Ahmed Patel kept his son Faisal and daughter Mumtaz away from politics. A few days ago, Faisal had said that he does not know whether he will be able to enter politics easily or not. He said that I have been working for Congress from behind the scenes.
In April last year, Faesal had also met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, after which there were speculations that he would join AAP.
Proud to finally meet our Delhi CM Shri @ArvindKejriwal ji! As a Delhi resident, I’m an ardent admirer of his work ethics & leadership skills. Discussed Artificial Intelligence’s impact on humanity & the current political affairs in the country. 🇮🇳🌏🤖@CMODelhi pic.twitter.com/75hg0q2E4p

Ahmed Patel, considered a loyalist of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, was considered the most powerful person in the party after the Gandhi family. In such a situation, just before the Gujarat assembly elections, Faisal Patel has raised the party's concern by raising questions about Congress leadership. In Gujarat, Congress is out of power for the last 27 years and is making every effort to come back.
Patel's son Faisal was not able to make up his mind to join politics. Last month, he had tweeted saying that he is not yet 'convinced' about his formal entry into politics. However, he will work for the party in his home district of Bharuch and Narmada. Also, Faisal had said that from April 1, I will visit 7 assembly seats in Bharuch and Narmada districts. At the same time, now the political discussion has intensified due to his tweet.
