'Getting An A** To Run A Horse Race': Union Minister Hardeep Puri On Rahul Gandhi — WATCH

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that the opposition needs to reflect upon their actions and that the citizens of India will judge them accordingly.

New Delhi: Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri responded to the opposition's protest regarding the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi, stating that they are attempting to race an ass in a horse's competition. He added that the opposition needs to reflect upon their actions and that the citizens of India will judge them accordingly. Instead of invoking Mahabharat and Savarkar, Puri suggested that they challenge the court's decision in a legal manner.

News agency ANI has shared a video in which Puri is heard saying, "...You are getting an ass to run a horse's race...They really deserve to do some serious introspection...People of India would judge them for what they are...Fight Court's action in the Court, you are invoking Mahabharat and Savarkar."

The Opposition parties held a meeting today in the Parliament House which was also attended by 17 parties including Congress, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, Samajwadi Party, Janata Dal (United), Communist Party of India (Marxist), Trinamool Congress, Aam Aadmi Party, Rashtriya Janata Dal, Nationalist Congress Party, Communist Party of India, Indian Union Muslim League, Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, J&K National Conference, and Shiv Sena (Uddav Balasaheb Thackeray).

The opposition parties will take out a march from the Gandhi statue to Vijay Chowk today wearing black clothes, in protest of Rahul Gandhi's disqualification from Lok Sabha, sources told ABP News.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was disqualified as Lok Sabha MP on Friday, a day after a Surat court found him guilty in a 2019 defamation case over his 'Modi surname' remark during the poll campaign in Karnataka in 2019.
