French President Macron Tweets In Hindi After Meeting PM Modi On Sidelines Of G20 Summit
Prime Minister's Office (PMO) informed about the "productive discussion" that was held between the two leaders on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Rome.
New Delhi: After meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the G20 summit in Rome, French President Emmanuel Macron on Saturday tweeted in Hindi. To this gesture, PM Modi reciprocated while tweeting in French.
While underlying the importance of the India-France relationship, French President Macron on his official Twitter handle writes, "We share common ambitions for the environment, health and innovation with India. We will continue to work together towards concrete results, especially in the Indo-Pacific region."

Reciprocating the gesture, PM Modi tweeted in French, "Delighted to meet my friend, President Emmanuel Macron in Rome. Our talks revolved around strengthening cooperation in various fields and fostering people-to-people relations."

Meantime, Prime Minister's Office (PMO) informed about the "productive discussion" that was held between the two leaders on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Rome.
"Productive discussions between PM Modi and President Macron on the sidelines of the G20 Summit. India and France are cooperating extensively in various sectors. Today’s talks will add momentum to the bilateral ties between the two nations," PMO tweeted.

Earlier, PM Modi had met his Italian counterpart Prime Minister Mario Draghi on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Rome. In their first in-person meeting, PM Modi on Friday congratulated PM Draghi for successfully hosting the G20 in the midst of a global pandemic.
PM Modi will be visiting Glasgow where he is scheduled to attend the COP-26 UN Climate Change Conference, hosted by the UK in partnership with Italy, which will take place from October 31 to November 12, 2021.
