Farmers Armed With Gas Masks, Gloves, Safety Suit As They Resume March To Delhi: Watch
The farmers announced to resume their march to Delhi after the protesting farmers rejected Centre's proposal to buy pulses and maize at MSP for five years.
The protesting farmers at Punjab and Haryana border are preparing to resume their march to Delhi with even greater might finding ways to evade possible crowd control measures by the police. On Wednesday, the farmers were seen distributing gas masks, gloves, and safety suits before resuming their march, seeking to reach Delhi to press for their demands for legal guarantee for Minimum Support Price among other demands.
"We are fully prepared...they (police) may put as many barricades they want, we will cross them all," said one of the protestor while speaking to news agency PTI.

The farmers announced to resume their 'Delhi Chalo' march from Wednesday after fourth round of talks between farmer leaders and the Centre failed to reach a conclusion. During the talks on Sunday, a panel of three Union ministers put forth the proposal to buy pulses, maize and cotton at the MSP through government agencies for five years after entering into an agreement with farmers.
The proposal was, however, rejected by the farmer leaders saying it was not in favour of farmers and annnounced to resume their march, spearheaded by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha.

Meanwhile, the security at border points of Delhi have been stepped up to stop the agitating farmers from entering the national capital.
Security personnel were deployed at the three borders — Tikri, Singhu, and Ghazipur on Tuesday and have been asked to stay on alert, said the Delhi Police.
According to a PTI report, the Delhi police has already stocked up 30,000 tear gas shells and an officer said the Delhi Police was prepared to stop the farmers at the Delhi border.
