'Elections Are Just A Formality Now': Om Prakash Rajbhar Ahead Of NDA Meet

Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party founder-president Om Prakash Rajbhar said that elections are just a formality and there is no fight in the country's politics anymore.

Ahead of the NDA meeting today, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party founder-president Om Prakash Rajbhar said that elections are just a formality and there is no fight in the country's politics anymore. Taking a swipe at the Opposition Rajbhar said that they can make as much noise as they want but it will not serve any purpose.

"There is nothing like a fight in the country's politics anymore. If you look at UP, there are 80 seats - where will the Opposition win? All 80 seats will be won by the NDA. I think elections are just a formality now, the opposition can make as much noise as they want - it won't serve any purpose...Our alliance is a national-level alliance," Rajbhar said.

This comes two days after Rajbhar joined the NDA to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. He said that he met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday and discussed about issues faced by poor and backward people on the ground level. Rajbhar said that he finalised joining NDA for the welfare of these people which is 'also the vision of PM Narendra Modi'. He thanked Pm Modi, Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath for taking him and his party along with other members of the NDA.

On his meeting with Amit Shah, he said, "We met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on July 14 and discussed various issues and decided to fight the 2024 elections together. I want to thank PM Modi, HM Amit Shah, CM Yogi Adityanath for taking us along."
