Delhi: Seven people, including child, killed after part of factory collapses in Moti Nagar
Following the blast, top officials of police rushed to the spot to investigate the matter.
NEW DELHI: At least seven people were killed and many others injured on Thursday after part of a factory collapsed at West Delhi's Sudarshan Park in Moti Nagar. The part of the building collapsed after a compressure blast took place at the fan making factory. It is reported that a call was received at 8.52 PM about building collapse at D-96, Sudarshan Park, PS Motinagar.
Monika Bhardwaj, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) said "The incident took place in West Delhi's Sudarshan Park area after an LPG cylinder blast. Seven people have died while eight were rescued and sent to the hospital. The building comprises ground and the first floors."
At the spot, rescue operation team was able to rescue eight people and they have been sent to the Acharya Bhikshu hospital.
Following the blast, top officials of police rushed to the spot to investigate the matter. NDRF has also deployed rescue dogs at the location.
The rescue operation is still underway.
