Delhi polls: AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan shot at thrice during scuffle between Congress & AAP workers

Delhi: With Delhi Municipal elections around the corner, a shocking incident took place in South Delhi’s Okhla, where a life scathing attack was launched on an Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan.  AAP is now accusing Congress for the incident. The firing took place after a scuffle broke out between Congress and AAP MLAs.  As per AAP the incident took place in the presence of the police. It all started when both the parties were out for election campaigning. A scuffle broke out between the two groups and Congress MLAs shot three rounds of fire after which Khan had a very close shave. AAP candidate Mehmood Ahmed has his office at Jamia’s Batla house gate. As per the reports, the AAP and Congress candidates were campaigning for the elections late in the night; Post which, both the groups got into a scuffle and along with AAP MLA, even cops were called at the spot. As per AAP MLA Amanatullah, he was speaking to the police about the incident when, three bikers came and shot at him. As per Khan, the bikers were Congress MLAs. Highlights of the manifesto include dedicated fund for Chatth Puja arrangements, Bhagidari scheme revival for participatory governance, simplification of building by-laws, ensuring women's security by installing LED lights and house tax exemption for self-occupied properties and senior citizens above 65 years. While releasing the manifesto, Delhi Congress president Ajay Maken accused both the BJP and the AAP of making "false promises" to people on tax issues. BJP expels Narela candidate Savita Khatri: Just two days ahead of the polls, BJP expelled its Narela candidate Savita Khatri after sacked AAP Minsiter Sandeep Kumar was seen campaigning for her. Sandeep was sacked from the party after a video CD was released where he was seen in a compromising position with two women.
