A thunderstorm with heavy rain pounded Delhi and the National Capital Region on Saturday evening. Around 6 pm, heavy rain fell on parts of Delhi, including the south and southeast. The IMD issued a rain forecast a day ago, predicting that the city would experience rain, thunder, and lightning, with a maximum temperature of 30 degrees Celsius.

The recent rainfall has kept the temperature in Delhi-NCR from rising. Even on Friday, the city saw a trace of rain, and the maximum temperature was recorded three degrees below normal, at 16.8 degrees Celsius.
