Heavy Rain, Thunderstorm Lash Parts Of Delhi-NCR, Likely To Witness Hailstorms

The IMD issued a rain forecast a day ago, predicting that the city would experience rain, thunder, and lightning, with a maximum temperature of 30 degrees Celsius.
The recent rainfall has kept the temperature in Delhi-NCR from rising. Even on Friday, the city saw a trace of rain, and the maximum temperature was recorded three degrees below normal, at 16.8 degrees Celsius.
Delhi-NCR Likely To Witness Hailstorm In Next Few Hours
Hailstorms and rain are expected to fall over adjoining areas of the NCR (Gurugram) over the next hour, according to the Regional Weather Forecasting Centre (RWFC) in New Delhi on Saturday evening.

On Friday morning, several parts of Delhi were flooded as the national capital experienced heavy rain.
In another tweet, the RWFC said: "Thunderstorms with light to moderate intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of NCR (Dadri, Greater Noida) Mathura (U.P.). Light intensity rain/drizzle would occur over and adjoining areas of Sikandrabad, Bulandshahar, Shikarpur, and Khurja."

Rain and thunderstorms pounded parts of the nation's capital earlier on Thursday.
"Scattered to widespread rain fall/thunderstorm, lightning/gusty winds are very likely over the region from March 30 to April 1 in Northwest India," the India Meteorological Department predicted on Thursday.
