Delhi MCD elections: Amid poll pressure, BJP accuses Arvind Kejriwal of nepotism
New Delhi: With Delhi Municipal elections around the corner, parties are leaving no stone unturned to incline the voters towards them; where some can be seen inaugurating the Mohalla clinic just ahead of the polling(Aam Aadmi Party), and other are going door to door in the scorching heat; introducing people of themselves (Swaraj India).
The elections are going to be a reality check for Aam Aadmi Party and a popularity check for the Bharatiya Janta Party who have just attained a massive victory in the Assembly elections.
Amid the tussle to win over the hearts of Delhiites, BJP on Thursday hit out at Aam Aadmi Party and its Supremo Arvind Kejriwal of nepotism. In a press briefing addressed by senior party leader Nirmala Sitharaman, she lashed out at Kejriwal and rose of the issue of ‘nepotism’ which is being followed in ruling AAP. Delhi BJP Chief Manoj Tiwari was also present in the briefing.
During her brief Sitharaman said, “There are questions to be asked from Delhi govt about appointment of personal staffs, unapproved foreign travel, allotment of quarters etc”.
Then she spew personal attacks on party Chief by questioning appointment of Nikunj Agrawal as OSD to Delhi Health Minister saying, “Nikunj is a relative of Arvind Kejriwal” She further questioned the CM if this is not nepotism?
The leader went ahead and attacked the appointment of Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain’s daughter as head of Clinic project, saying “Jain’s daughter is an architect, and giving her charge of Mohalla clinics is nepotism again.
