'They Can Shed Tears For Batla House Terrorists..': PM Modi's Veiled Attack On AAP At Dwarka Rally

Starting his speech with 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' slogan PM said that upcoming Delhi elections are the first elections of this decade and the decade belongs to India and its development will depend on the decisions taken today.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday addressed a poll rally in the national capital just four days ahead of the much crucial Delhi Assembly Elections, scheduled to take place on February 8. PM Modi is among the star campaigners of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the upcoming polls in New Delhi. Starting his speech with 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' slogan PM said that  upcoming Delhi elections are the first elections of this decade and the decade belongs to India and its development will depend on the decisions taken today. "The mood of people in the national capital is in favour of the Bharatiya Janata Party and we all will have to show the way of this decade to the further. We will have to stand together on February 8 as Delhi needs a government which does not blame, but gives a direction," the Prime Minister said. Further hitting out at the ruling Aam Aadmi Party, PM Modi said that Delhi needs a government which works for all. "Arvind Kejriwal and his party, for the last 5 years, have stalled the welfare schemes provided by Central government to the poor people of Delhi," he said. Several roadblocks were put in extension work of Delhi Metro by the state government, PM Modi said adding that there has been a politics of selfishness and negativity. "People are now saying that country is changing and now Delhi also needs to change," PM Modi said.
"The AAP-led Delhi government has been practising the politics of hate and if BJP gets elected to power, it will end the politics of hate and negativity from the national capital. We have connected with thousands of poor through our schemes and people trust us. BJP has always worked for the betterment of poor and women," he said. Hitting out indirectly at Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, PM Modi said that those who were asking proofs of surgical strike, shed tears for terrorists who were killed in Balta House encounter. "Delhi cannot develop with such wrong intentions and visions. Ruling party here is  spreading lies in the name of Citizenship Amendment Act," PM added further. Incidentally, Batla House is located close to Shaheen Bagh area where thousands of women and men are sitting on a months-long protests against the CAA and proposed NRC. Further speaking about protests taking place in Delhi against the contentious CAA and NRC, PM Modi said that today people are being instigated on the name of Citizenship Act. "People are closely watching the activities in the name of CAA protests. Hope people of Delhi is understanding all this," he said.
