Holika Dahan Puja Vidhi

On the day of Holika Dahan, wake up early and take a bath. After taking a vow to observe the fast, prepare for the ritual. Clean the place where Holika Dahan is to be performed.
Make idols of Holika and Prahlad and worship Lord Narasimha. Perform Holika Puja during the auspicious muhurat and offer coconut, turmeric, vermillion, rice, and wheat into the sacred fire.
After this, circumambulate Holika three times with your family. Then, offer gulal and water into the sacred fire as a mark of devotion.
After the Holika fire cools down, apply its ashes as a tilak. You can take some ashes home and wrap them in a red cloth to keep in the safe, as per Vastu beliefs, to attract wealth. Have your meal only after Holika Dahan.
