Bank Holiday For Holi 2025: Banks in several states will remain closed on Friday, March 14, in observance of Holi, the festival of colours, according to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) holiday calendar. Some states also saw bank closures on Thursday, March 13, for Holika Dahan, and a few others will observe a holiday on March 15, which coincides with the third Saturday of the month.

As per the RBI's list, banks were closed in Dehradun, Kanpur, Lucknow, Ranchi, and Thiruvananthapuram on March 13 due to the Holika Dahan and Attukal Pongala festivals. On March 15, banks in Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Imphal, Patna, and Ranchi will be closed to observe Holi/Yaosang (2nd Day).

However, digital banking services will remain fully operational throughout these holidays. Customers can continue to use internet banking, mobile banking apps, UPI, and WhatsApp banking for transactions without any disruption. Bank customers are advised to check with their respective branches for specific holiday schedules based on state regulations.

Bank Holiday On March 14, 2025, For Holi

Banks will remain closed on March 14, 2025, in observance of Holi in several states, including Gujarat, Odisha, Chandigarh, Sikkim, Assam, Hyderabad (AP & Telangana), Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu, Bengal, Maharashtra, New Delhi, Goa, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, and Srinagar.

March 15 (Saturday) – Second Day Of Holi/Yaosang

Most banks will be open on March 15, 2025, as it is the third Saturday of the month, a regular working Saturday. However, states such as Tripura, Odisha, and Manipur will observe bank closures on this day.
