Delhi: Metro, Buses To Run At Full Capacity; Cinema Halls To Reopen With 50% Capacity From Monday

As per the recently issued guidelines by Delhi Disaster Management Authority, Metro trains and buses are permitted to operate with 100 per cent capacity in Delhi from 5 am, July 26.

New Delhi: Witnessing a significant improvement in Covid situation in national capital, the Delhi government has revised its Covid-guidelines and given several relaxations in lockdown restrictions, starting from Monday, July 26.

As per the recently issued guidelines by Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Metro trains and buses are permitted to operate with 100 per cent capacity in Delhi from 5 am, July 26. Public transport such as autos, e-rickshaws (upto 2 passengers), taxis, cabs, gramin sewa and phat phat sewa (upto 2 passengers), maxi cab (upto 5 passengers) RTV (upto 11 passengers) shall be allowed. No standing passenger shall be allowed. 

All markets, market complexes and malls shall be permitted to open between 10 am to 8 pm. All standalone (single) shops and all neighbourhood (colony) shops and shops in residential complexes, shall be permitted to open on an days without any distinction of essential and nonessential goods or services. 

Restaurants have been permitted to run with 50 per cent of the seating capacity from 8 am to 10 pm. Similarly, bars are allowed upto 50 per cent of the seating capacity from 12 noon to 10 pm. 

Auditoriums, assembly halls, cinema halls, theatres, and multiplexes will function with 50 per cent capacity. Funeral/ last rites gatherings shall be permitted with a ceiling of 100 persons. Marriage related gatherings shall be permitted with a ceiling of 100 persons. 

Meanwhile, schools, colleges, educational and coaching institutions shall remain shut. All social, political, sports, entertainment, cultural, religious, festival related gatherings and congregations continue to be prohibited. 

Delhi reported zero death, 66 new COVID-19 cases, and 52 recoveries in the last 24 hours. With this, the death toll has reached 25,041 while the number of total recoveries are 14,10,216. According to the latest health bulletin, there are at least 587 active cases of Coronavirus in the national capital.
