CRPF Sub Inspector Shoots Colleague And Self After Heated Argument In Delhi’s Lodhi Estate Area

A CRPF sub-inspector shot his colleague and himself after a heated argument in Delhi's Lodhi Estate area. Investigations have begun to ascertain the reasons.

New Delhi: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) sub-inspector shot his colleague and then killed himself in Delhi’s Lodhi estate area on Friday night. Reports say that the two had a heated argument and then sub-inspector Karnail Singh shot CRPF inspector Dashrat Singh. He then proceeded to kill himself. According to a report by PTI, the incident took place around 10:30 PM at 61, Lodhi Estate, a bungalow allotted to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). The report also says that Karnail Singh hailed from Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir, while Inspector Dashrat Singh was from Rohtak in Haryana. The shots were fired from his service weapon. The police officers and other colleagues from the paramilitary outfit rushed to the spot after hearing the gunshots. An investigation on the incident has begun and details are awaited.
