Covid-19 Scare: India’s Active Cases Surge To 3,395, Kerala Alone Contributing Over 1300 Infections

India's active COVID-19 cases rise to 3,395, with Kerala, Maharashtra, and Delhi reporting the highest numbers.

Amid the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in India, the total number of active cases across the country now stands at 3,395. In Ghaziabad, two new cases were reported —one is a 40-year-old woman and the other a 65-year-old man. With these new cases, the total number of active COVID-19 patients in Ghaziabad has reached 20. Out of these, 17 are in home isolation, while three have been admitted to private hospitals.

Gurugram has also reported three new cases today, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the city to 19. Out of these, 12 are currently active, while 7 patients have recovered.

Among the new cases is a 32-year-old man living in Essel Tower who recently returned from Tamil Nadu. He tested positive after developing symptoms and undergoing a COVID-19 test.

Additionally, a 44-year-old woman from DLF Phase 1 and a 28-year-old woman from Vatika India Next Society have also tested positive for COVID-19. Notably, neither of the two women has a travel history.

The maximum number of active cases has been reported from Kerala, followed by Maharashtra and Delhi. In Kerala, the total number of active cases stands at 1336, while in Maharashtra, the total number of cases is 467. Delhi has a total of 375 active cases.

According to the latest data, the total number of active COVID-19 cases across the country now stands at 3,395. Here is the state-wise breakdown:

-Delhi: 375

-Gujarat: 265

-Rajasthan: 60

-Kerala: 1,336

-Uttar Pradesh: 117

-West Bengal: 205

-Tamil Nadu: 185

-Maharashtra: 467

Two More Tested Positive For Covid In Odisha

In Odisha, two more persons tested positive for Covid, taking the  the total number of cases in the state to seven, Health Secretary Aswathy S said on Saturday.Urging people not to panic, she said the condition of all the patients is stable.The latest ICMR report says that the present variant does not exhibit severe symptoms, and most cases are mild.
