J-K Admin Imposes Fresh Curbs In View Of Rising Covid Cases

Amidst the spike in the covid cases, Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) administration has imposed fresh curbs. "There shall be a complete restriction on non-essential movement in the entire UT from 9 pm to 6 am till further orders," reads the official statement.

60 Test Covid Positive, IIT Guwahati Declared Containment Zone

Sixty people have tested positive for COVID-19 in IIT Guwahati and its authorities have declared the entire campus as a containment zone, an official order said on Wednesday. All the cases were detected over the last six days and almost 99 per cent of the cases were those who had returned to the campus from outside Assam after the holidays, an IIT Guwahati official said.

Over 1 Crore Teens Vaccinated Against COVID-19 In India: Govt

More than 1 crore (1,24,02,515) COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered to children in the 15-18 age group since the inoculation drive began for them on January 3, the Union health ministry said on Wednesday. With this, the cumulative doses administered in the country has increased to over 148.58 crores (1,48,58,19,491), it said.
