India Reports 12,514 Covid Cases In Last 24 Hrs, Active Cases Lowest In 248 Days
India has reported 12,514 Covid 19 cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry.
Corona Cases Update: The country continues to maintain the downward trend as India reported 12,514 Covid 19 cases, 12,718 recoveries and 251 deaths in last 24 hours as per the Union Health Ministry.

Kerala
Kerala has reported a marginal decline in Covid cases as the state registered 7,167 fresh COVID-19 cases and 167 related deaths in the last 24 hours. The daily surge in cases raised the caseload to 49,68,657 and the fatalities to 31,681.
Of the 167 deaths, 14 were reported over the last few days, 146 were those which were not confirmed until June 18 last year due to lack of adequate documentation, and seven were designated as COVID deaths after receiving appeals based on the new guidelines of the Centre and Supreme Court directions. according to PTI.
With 6,439 more people recovering from the virus since Saturday, the total recoveries touched 48,57,181 and the active cases reached 79,185, the release said.
As many as 65,158 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
Among the 14 districts, Ernakulam recorded the highest with 1,046 cases followed by Thiruvananthapuram (878) and Thrissur (753).
Maharashtra
Maharashtra on Sunday reported 1,172 new coronavirus positive cases, which raised the infection tally to 66,11,078, while the death of 20 patients pushed the toll to 1,40,216, reported PTI.
A total of 1,399 patients recuperated and were discharged from hospitals during the day. With this, the state's recovery count reached 64,50,585.
There are 16,658 active cases in Maharashtra at present.
The state's COVID-19 recovery rate is 97.57 per cent and fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.
Mumbai city reported 308 new cases and three deaths, due to which its case count grew to 7,56,749 and toll to 16,247.
Mumbai division, which comprises the city and its satellite towns, recorded 515 cases and nine deaths. It took the infection count of this region to 17,00,848 and fatality figure to 35,542.
