Cooperative Movement Can Give Strength To Aatmanirbhar Bharat Campaign: PM Modi At Banas Dairy In Gujarat
PM Modi, Referring to the foundation laying stone of Banas-Kashi Sankul in Varanasi, thanked Banas Dairy for serving farmers from his constituency.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on his second day of visit to home state Gujarat on Tuesday, dedicated to the nation the new dairy complex and potato processing plant at Diyodar in Banaskantha district, including several other projects. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and various ministers in the Gujarat cabinet and chairman of Banas Dairy was also present at the event.
Speaking at the event PM said that Banas dairy will help the farmers and thus boost rural economy adding that the cooperative movement in the country can give strength to Aatmanirbhar Bharat campaign.
"The development initiatives at Banas Dairy will empower farmers and boost the rural economy. We can experience here how cooperative movement can give strength to the Aatmanirbhar Bharat campaign," he said.
Referring to the foundation laying stone in his constituency Varanasi, he said, "I got the oppportunity to lay foundation stone of Banas-Kashi Sankul in my constituency of Varansi. I thank Banas Dairy that they initiated to serve the farmers of my constituency, I am indebted as an MP from Varanasi."
Laying foundation stone for one bio cng plant and four bio gas plants, PM Modi enlisted the advantages saying that the plant will provide "cleanliness in villages, increased income for cattle rearers, electricity and bio cng products, and organic fertiliser which will help in saving environment."
Speaking about the Vidya Samiksha Kendra, the command and control centre of the State Education Department Education which PM Modi visited on day one, said, "I was scheduled to visit for one hour, but I was so impressed that I spent around two to two and a half hours."
Speaking about the command and control centre, he said "equipped with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, big data analysis the command and control centre analyses 500 crore data sets anually which includes assesment tests, school affiliation, teacher student attendance." He further said that student turnout increased by 26% by the intiatives of the command and control centre. He urged department education from other states to visit these centres.
The Banas dairy complex will “enable the processing of about 30 lakh litres of milk, produce about 80 tonnes of butter, one lakh litres of ice cream, 20 tonnes of condensed milk (Khoya) and 6 tonnes of chocolate daily,” the official press release had stated.
PM Modi also dedicated the Banas Community Radio Station to the nation. "This Community Radio Station has been established to provide farmers key scientific information related to agriculture and animal husbandry. It is expected that the radio station will connect with over 5 lakh farmers of about 1700 villages," as per the official press release.
The Prime Minister dedicated to the nation the expanded facilities for production of cheese products and whey powder at the Banas dairy plant in Palapur and Organic Manure and Biogas plant established at Dama, and laid foundation stone for four gobar gas plants of 100 tonnes capacity to be established at Khimana, Ratanpura – Bhildi, Radhanpur and Thawar.
