WATCH: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi Interacts With Manipur Locals On Day 2 Of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was seen interacting with people on the second day of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Sekmai.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi embarked on the second day of his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra on Monday from Sekmai in Manipur where he was seen interacting with people who were gathered there to meet him. The march was kickstarted in a custom-made Volvo bus with the Congress party's slogan 'Mohabbat Ki Dukaan' making a comeback. Rahul Gandhi was also seen walking for some distance where he met and listened to people's problems along the way, as reported by news agency PTI.

Congress General Secretary, Jairam Ramesh in a post on 'X' said that the "Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra began bright and early at 7:30 a.m. with the traditional flag hoisting by Seva Dal at the campsite. PCC President of Manipur @meghachandra_k hoisted the flag."

On the second day, the yatra is set to move from Sekmai to Kangpokpi and then Senapati in Manipur before concluding for the day in Nagaland, as per PTI's report.

Bharat Jodo Yatra began in Khongjom, Thoubal district in the violence-hit Manipur on Sunday.

Rahul Gandhi reinstated that the Congress will present a new vision for India based on brothethood, harmony, and equitability, and devoid of violence, monopoly, and hatred, reported PTI.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi also took a dig at PM Narendra Modi for not visiting Manipur which is suffering because of the ethnic violence.

While addressing the press on the yatra, Kharge said, "Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Khongjom in Manipur to Mumbai in Maharashtra starts Sunday to raise our voice for economic justice, social justice, and political justice, to raise our voice against the ANYAY KAAL of the last 10 years."

He further asserted, "The Prime Minister has refused to speak a word or visit Manipur for more than 8 months since violence erupted here. Does the Prime Minister not consider Manipur to be a part of India? Does the Prime Minister not respect the contribution of Manipuris to India?" "The Yatra will raise the issue of justice for Manipur."

The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will traverse 6,713 kilometres and pass through 100 Lok Sabha constituencies and 15 states before culminating in Mumbai on March 20 or 21 after 67 days.
