Congress Holds Rallies Across India To Mark 1st Anniversary Of Bharat Jodo Yatra. WATCH

The Congress party staged yatras in several parts of the country to commemorate one year of the Bharat Jodo Yatra taken out by party MP Rahul Gandhi.

New Delhi: The Congress party on Thursday staged rallies in several parts of the country to mark one year of the Bharat Jodo Yatra taken out by party MP Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul Gandhi had led the Bharat Jodo Yatra and covered some 4,000 kilometres on foot from Kanyakumari to Kashmir in 145 days. The ambitious yatra began on September 7, 2022 and concluded on January 30.

To mark the occasion, the Congress took out a yatra in Karnataka's Ramanagara district. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar participated in the march.

The Andhra Pradesh unit of Congress also undertook a yatra in Vijayawada. The march was led by PCC president Rudraraju Giduju and CWC member K Raju.

Congress in a post on X shared the video of the march. It captioned the video, "The Andhra Pradesh Congress undertook a yatra through the thoroughfares of Vijayawada. The march was led by PCC President @RudrarajuGidugu  ji and CWC member  @KRajuINC  ji. Thousands of people participated in the march to mark the first anniversary of the Bharat Jodo Yatra."

A peaceful march was organized in Puducherry by Congress leaders.

The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) staged a peaceful march in Srinagar on Thursday to commemorate the first anniversary of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, which was led by senior Congress leader Tariq Hamid Karra.

During the 145-day yatra, Gandhi addressed 12 public meetings, more than 100 street corner meetings and 13 press conferences. He had over 275 planned walking interactions and more than 100 sitting interactions.
