The agenda to be discussed in the 'Chintan Shivir' include social, economic and political concerns, the issues of farmers and youth as well as the affairs of the organisation.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi has formed different committees to present drafts on these subjects.

According to sources, a committee has been constituted under the leadership of former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on the issues of agriculture and farmers, while newly-appointed Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring will head the committee on the concerns of youth and unemployment.

After the humiliating defeat for the grand old party in the recent assembly elections, the Congress had announced to convene a 'Chintan Shivir'.

As many as 400 Congress leaders from across the country will be involved in discussions on the condition of the party and its future direction.

This comes as the Congress leadership also held meetings with poll strategist Prashant Kishor to discuss the course ahead of the 2024 general elections.

The Congress panel set up by president Sonia Gandhi to work out a revival plan, as suggested by Prashant Kishor, submitted a report on its findings last week.

"Now, she will decide on Prashant Kishor's role in the party," a Congress leader told news agency ANI.
