Blog| Chirag Paswan, PM Modi's Hanuman Who Set Fire In His Own Abode Instead Of Lanka
Chirag Paswan claimed during the Bihar Elections 2020 election campaign that he is the Hanuman of Narendra Modi and the PM resides in his heart but the election results tell an entirely opposite tale.
We recall our beloved God Hanuman when we are in trouble. The Hindus in India have been practising this since the time they learn to read and write. 'Sankat Mochan' as the name suggests is worshipped and known for taking away our troubles as he did for his Lord Rama, the God who resided in his heart. That's how the story has been with us from generations and if someone can set an example of being loyal, it will always be Hanuman for his Lord Shree Ram. Hanuman who could do everything to remove every obstacle coming in Shree Ram's path.

But the 'self-proclaimed Hanuman' of Bihar Elections 2020 is an entirely opposite version of the one we read about in scriptures and in stories of our grandparents. This Hanuman claims that Lord Ram is in his heart and if you want you can cut open his heart to find his Lord in it.
The 'Kalyug Hanuman' as mentioned by the Bihar Leaders is, of course, Chirag Paswan, the 'young and dynamic' leader of Lok Janshakti Party.
Chirag Paswan who has been an ardent opposer of Nitish Kumar being elected as the next Chief Minister Of Bihar parted ways from the NDA-JD(U) alliance saying he just belives in Narendra Modi's leadership and doesn't support Nitish Kumar's JD(U) in any form. LJP contested against JD(U) claiming that they want a BJP CM and instead of Nitish Kumar and will make ways for BJP to emerge as the single largest party in the Bihar assembly elections 2020.
On the other hand, after LJP separated itself from the alliance, BJP leaders claimed that Chirag Paswan led party is fighting the elections against BJP+JD(U) which proves that he is not supporting either of the parties. Some NDA leaders even warned Chirag Paswan to refrain PM's image in campaigning but Chirag Paswan said, "I don't need photos of PM Modi. He is in my heart. Much like Hanuman's devotion for Ram, if you cut open my heart you will find only Modi-ji."
But after the Bihar Election Results were announced, Chirag Paswan, PM Modi's Hanuman Ended Up Setting Fire In His Own Abode
A neck to neck fight was witnessed between Tejashwi Yadav's Mahagathbandhan and Nitish Kumar's led NDA on the counting day which declared NDA as victorious and RJD as the single largest party but what role did Chirag Paswan's LJP play in making the NDA victorious? Some may say nothing but the answer lies in the analysis of the results.
In the run-up to the Bihar assembly election, Chirag Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) had earned the title of “vote-cutter” from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
On Tuesday, the party lived up to that reputation as it ended up damaging the winning prospects of NDA coalition partner, Janata Dal (United), in around 40 assembly seats.
The LJP won one seat, according to the Election Commission of India. Though its performance was all but lacklustre, it dealt one of the most brutal blows to the JD(U).
If the LJP had not decided to go solo in 137 seats in Bihar despite continuing as an NDA ally at the Centre, the JD(U) could have emerged as the second-largest party in the Bihar elections.
The party fielded 137 candidates, primarily in opposition to Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United), after it decided to quit the National Democratic Alliance. As many as 25 Bharatiya Janata Party rebel leaders had joined the LJP after being denied a ticket by the party.
The party’s tally, however, is down from its last performance in 2015 where it managed to win 2 seats after contesting from 42 assembly constituencies. In the lone seat of Matihani that LJP managed to win, its candidate Raj Kumar Singh defeated JD(U)’s Narendra Kumar Singh by a slim margin of 333 votes.
Though the party got just one seat, it managed to slice through a crucial chunk of the NDA vote by impacting nearly 29 of the 58 constituencies that the JD(U) was trailing on. In most of these assembly constituencies, the LJP managed to secure a nearly 10% vote share, dealing a decisive blow to its erstwhile ally.
PM Modi's Hanuman, in fact, helped the opposition gain an upper hand in nearly 50% of 58 constituencies.
In the key constituency of Dinara, where the LJP fielded former BJP loyalist Rajendra Singh, who had been an RSS worker for nearly 37 years, the JD(U) was reduced to 16% votes, while the RJD bagged victory with 34.97% votes. The LJP managed to secure 30.13% votes.
Former BJP legislators Usha Vidyarthi, who contested from Paliganj on an LJP ticket, and Rameshwar Chaurasiya, who contested from Sasaram, barely managed to secure a little over 10% of the vote share. Other BJP leaders including Ravindra Yadav managed only 6% votes in Jhajha, while Mrinal Shekhar managed 24.59% of the vote but failed to trounce Jayant Raj of the JD(U).
Psephologist Yashwant Deshmukh said on ABP News special coverage, “Whatever the idea was, Hanuman has ended up damaging Ayodhya rather than Lanka,” Deshmukh said. “If Hanuman was implanted to inflict such damage, then he has done remarkably well.”
Deshmukh added that the NDA would have won no less than 150 seats if the LJP hadn’t cut down its chances.
