Chennai Police Arrest Three Suspects From Maharashtra In Sowcarpet Triple Murder Case

Chennai Triple Murder Mystery Solved: The Chennai police have arrested three men in connection with the murder from Maharashtra.

The Chennai city police seem to have solved the shocking triple murder case that came in light on Wednesday after three members of a family in Sowcarpet area were shot dead. Today the city police have arrested three men in connection with the murder from Maharashtra. ALSO READ | Drugs Case: Court Sends Arjun Rampal's Friend Paul Bartel To Judicial Custody; Actor At NCB Office For Interrogation Chennai police has confirmed to the media here that the brother-in-law of Sheetal Jain (40), one of the deceased, had brought two guns from his native in Maharashtra and fired four shots to kill them. It is to be noted that on Wednesday evening, Dileep Thali Chand (74), his wife Pushpa Bai (70) and their son Sheetal Jain (40) were found dead with bullet injuries at their residence in Vinayagar Mestri street in Sowcarpet after their family tried reaching them and could not get through. It was their daughter Pinki who then came to see if everything was right and found that they were shot dead. Upon preliminary enquiries, police found that it was a prolonged marital dispute that led to the murders on Wednesday night. On this, the police soon started tracing the family members of Jayamala with the help of Maharashtra police. Police investigation found that on the day of murder at around 7.30 pm Sheetal's wife and her two brothers along with two others had entered their residence and left on two cars. At around 2 am on Friday, the special police team nabbed one of Jayamala's brothers, Kailash and two of his friends at a tollgate near Solapur in Maharashtra. Upon arrest, Kailash confessed to killings and informed police that he had got two guns from his native place in Maharashtra. Police said that Kailash was a local thug. Out of two guns one have been secured. Additional Commissioner of Police, North Chennai, A Arun said Kailash and his friends, Rabindakar and Vijay have been apprehended. However they are tracing Jayamala and her other brother Vikas. Further it was added that the couple were married for 16 years and from the initial days the relationship was not smooth. The couple had two children. In the month of January, Jayamala left her in-laws house along with her children. ALSO READ | Who Is Kameshwar Chaupal? Also that Jayamala's family couldn't pay the dowry. Jayamala's brother Kailash has told Police that the torture had increased when Sheetal's family got to know that she hid her low caste status. Later on Wednesday, Jayamala, her two brothers and two more of their friends came to Chennai for negotiations which turned into an ugly argument and her brother Kailash killed three of the family members.
