Chandigarh Bound Go First Flight G8911 Diverted To Ahmedabad After Bird Hit, Says DGCA

Go First flight G8911, which was headed for Chandigarh, was forced to make a detour to Ahmedabad on Thursday after being struck by a bird, said DGCA.

New Delhi: Go First flight G8911, destined for Chandigarh, was diverted to Ahmedabad on Thursday after being hit by a bird, according to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), news agency ANI reported.

Earlier in the day, a Go First automobile drove beneath an IndiGo A320neo jet at the Delhi airport, narrowly missing a collision with the plane's nose wheel.

“Go First flight G8911 operating on August 4 from Ahmedabad to Chandigarh is diverted to Ahmedabad after bird hit,” the DGCA was quoted by ANI on its official Twitter handle.

Previously, a Delhi-Guwahati Go First was diverted to Jaipur last month when the plane's windscreen shattered in midair.

Earlier on Sunday, Arun Kumar, the head of the aviation authority DGCA, stated that technical difficulties encountered by domestic carriers in recent weeks did not have the capacity to pose major problems and that even international airlines that flew into India recorded 15 difficulties in the previous 16 days.
