Watch | Woman Thrashes Bike Borne Chain Snatcher On Delhi Street; CCTV Footage Goes Viral

In an incident of chain snatching which was caught on camera, a women in Delhi's Nangloi area was seen catching hold of a man who tried to snatch her chain away.

New Delhi: In an incident of chain snatching which was caught on camera, a women in Delhi's Nangloi area was seen catching hold of a man who tried to snatch her chain away. The entire incident, which took place on August 30, was captured in a CCTV and has also gone viral on social media as the brave woman is being praised by many for her prompt response. The woman was travelling on a rickshaw with another girl and got off the vehicle. Soon after paying the rickshaw driver and while they were about to cross the road, two bike borne people approached near them. While passing by the women, the man seating behind the bike rider snatched her chain. The woman immediately ran behind her and caught his shift, forcing the chain snatcher to fall of the bike and halt. She pulled his hand and forced him to get off the bike and thrashed him. The other man, however, managed to run off. But by this time, local people noticed the incident and surrounded the perpetrator and beat him up. Watch the video here: According to news agency ANI, both the snatchers were later caught by the police. The video has been posted on micro-blogging platform Twitter by several users and netizens are hailing the woman and said that it was indeed brave enough of her to act promptly. "Bravo," wrote a user sharing the video while another one added, "Wow...women power. Such a brave woman. Hats off." Delhi witnesses a high rate of crime and chain snatching is a very common occurrence. There have been several incidents of people’s valuables being snatched in broad daylight, with the police, which comes under the Central government not being able to put an end to such incidents
