'Called Again On Nov 16': Ashok Gehlot’s Son After Appearance Before ED In FEMA Case

After appearing before ED in Delhi, Vaibhav Gehlot, who is the president of the Rajasthan Cricket Association, said that neither he nor his family have done any foreign transactions.

New Delhi: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s son Vaibhav Gehlot who was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday was asked to appear before it again on November 16 in connection with a Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) case.

After appearing before ED in Delhi, Vaibhav Gehlot, who is the president of the Rajasthan Cricket Association, said that neither he nor his family have done any foreign transactions.

"I told them that my company and I have nothing to do with FEMA...I have given answers regarding these allegations 10-12 years ago as well...I have been called on November 16," he told ANI.

"They (ED) have not called me again tomorrow. They did a detailed interrogation, I have given my answers," he told the reporters.

On ED summons to son, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot told reporters, "Let the law & order take its own course. There is no substance in the notice, it is a simple notice. ED is busy taking political mileage. It is the BJP's political game. There have been so many raids that now there is no impact of those raids."

ED had issued summons to Vaibhav Gehlot to appear before the investigating officer of the case, at its headquarters in Delhi, under the provisions of the FEMA.

The summons are linked to recent ED raids against Rajasthan-based hospitality group Triton Hotels & Resorts Pvt. Ltd., Vardha Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. and its directors and promoters Shiv Shankar Sharma, Rattan Kant Sharma and others.
