BSF Shoots Down Pakistani Drone In Punjab's Tarn Taran, Says 'Nefarious Designs Foiled'

BSF shot down yet another Pakistani Drone in Punjab's Tarn Taran district after it violated Indian airspace.

The Border Security Forces (BSF) on Saturday intercepted and brought down a Pakistani Drone (DJI Matrice 300 RTK) that violated the Indian airspace in Lakhana village of Tarn Taran district, Punjab. The security force shared images of the intercepted drone on Twitter.

Many incidents of Pakistani drones being caught in the Indian territory have surfaced in the recent past.

The BSF in a joint operation with Punjab Police recovered a Pakistani drone from the outskirts of Dal village in Tarn Taran district on June 14 as well. The recovered drone was a quadcopter of model DJI Matrice 300 RTK series, BSF officials said, as reported by ANI.

BSF Punjab Frontier officials said, “Today, on June 14th, during morning hours, a Joint search operation was launched by BSF with Punjab Police on the outskirts of Dal village, Tarn Taran district. During the search at 9am, a drone was recovered from the farming field adjacent to the village. The recovered drone is a Quadcopter of model DJI Matrice 300 RTK series."

Another Pakistani drone of the same model was recovered on the outskirt of Shaidpur Kalan village in Punjab's Amritsar on June 12. Just a day before, another DJI Matrice 300 RTK series drone from Pakistan was recovered by a joint team of the BSF and the Punjab Police from a field in the Tarn Taran district. The drone was found in a completely broken condition and a string for carrying a payload was also attached to it. It was carrying one big packet of suspected heroin with a gross weight of approximately 5.5 kg.
