BJP slams Delhi CM Kejriwal for seeking proof of surgical strikes, AAP hits back

New Delhi: The Bhartiya Janta Party on Tuesday addressed a press conference chaired by Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, and condemned Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for ‘seeking a proof’ from Prime Minister Narendra Modi of the Surgical Strikes conducted by Indian Army in Pakistan occupied Kashmir. While Speaking to the media Prasad said, “I want to ask Arvind Kejriwal whether he believes in the extraordinary valour of our Army or not in conducting the surgical strikes”. He added saying, “If yes, then why are you (Arvind Kejriwal) getting influenced by the false propaganda of Pakistan?” He also rose a question to senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram saying, “Want to ask him (P Chidambaram), is he also joining the bandwagon of doubting capacity of our jawans in conducting Surgical Strike?” After Union Minister’s media briefing was over, Aam Aadmi Party leader Ashutosh hit back and Tweeted, “I am amazed that Ravi Shankar Prasad instead of unmasking Pak Propaganda is questioning AK. Shows BJP's bankruptcy of ideas”. He also added, “Pak is insulting Bharat mata and Indian army through its propaganda but BJP is settling score with AK.” Delhi Chief Minister on Monday, via a three-minute video shared on his Twitter account ‘praised’ PM Modi and urged him to present a proof to Pakistan, in lieu of the questions being raised against the surgical strikes conducted by India in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. Sources said it appeared to be an attempt to put pressure on the government to come up with proof of the cross-LoC strikes that the army said had inflicted “significant casualties” on terrorists. Pakistan has denied India’s claims of “surgical strikes” on terror launch pads.
