Bihar: After Sushil Modi, Jitan Ram Manjhi Accuses Lalu Yadav Of Calling Him To Destabilize NDA Govt

Bihar Elections: Jitan Ram Manji, former Chief Minister of Bihar and chief of Hindustani Awam Morcha which is the part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar on Thursday, alleged that Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) founder Lalu Prasad Yadav tried to contact him, in order to destabilize the newly formed government of Nitish Kumar. "I received a call from Lalu Prasad at 11 pm when he tried to speak to me but I did not speak to him. The allegation made by Sushil Kumar Modi and BJP MLA Lalan Paswan against Lalu Prasad is 200% true," said Jitan Ram Manjhi Manji further claimed that, as soon as the results were declared, Lalu Yadav even contacted his party's newly-elected MLAs, where he tried to lure them offering ministries if they defected from the NDA. "Lalu is doing politics sitting inside the jail in Ranchi. This is the wrong precedence that is being set. I demand an inquiry into this. Lalu had contacted my party legislators also and lured them with ministerial berths after elections," said Jitan Ram Manjhi. The disclosure of the sensational of the HAM president comes after BJP leader and former deputy CM Sushil Modi released an audiotape in which Lalu Yadav called BJP MLA Lallan Paswan and offered him a minister position if he voted for the Mahagathbandhan or remained absent for the voting from the election of assembly speaker. Following the matter, the BJP has demanded that Lalu Prasad should be immediately shifted from Ranchi to Tihar Jail and that a CBI probe should be initiated over this audio conversation between Lalu and BJP MLA. Meanwhile, the Congress-led Jharkhand government on Wednesday, ordered a probe into RJD president Lalu Prasad allegedly telephoning an NDA MLA in Bihar asking him to abstain from voting during the election to Speaker of the assembly. The RJD supremo is in jail in Ranchi since December 2017 after conviction in cases of multi-crore rupees fodder scam. On health ground, he was admitted to Rajendra Prasad Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS).
