Bihar Elections 2020: Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday released the second list of as many as 46 candidates, all for the second phase of the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections.

Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday released the second list of as many as 46 candidates, all for the second phase of the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections. As per the issued list, Narayan Prasad will contest the assembly elections from Nautan, Umakant Singh from Chanpatiya, Renu Devi from Betiah while Kundan Singh has been allotted the ticket for controversial Begusarai seat. The first list mentioned as many as 27 candidates for the seats going for polls in the first phase on October 28. The list included names of international shooter Shreyasi Singh from Jamui constituency and former MP Hari Manjhi from Bodhgaya. The saffron party will fight assembly elections in alliance with the Nitish Kumar led Janata Dal United (JDU). Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) have also been included in the NDA alliance in Bihar while Chirag Paswan led LJP has decided to go solo this time. The polling for the second and the third phase will be conducted on November 3 and 7 while the results are expected to be out on November 10. Of the total 243 constituencies, 71 will go to the polls in the first phase. In the outgoing assembly, RJD was the largest party with 73 MLAs followed by JD(U) 69, BJP (54), Congress (23), CPI-ML (3), LJP (2), HAM and AIMIM of Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi one each and Independent (5). A total of 12 seats are vacant.
