Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra: Rahul Gandhi Kicks Off Day 6 In Assam With Boat Ride On Brahmaputra. VIDEO

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi began day 6 of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Jorhat in Assam and travelled across the Brahmaputra to reach Majuli, the largest river island in the world.

Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi kicked off the sixth day of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Assam's Jorhat on Friday morning. Ditching his customised Volvo bus to reach his next destination, Rahul Gandhi opted for a boat instead to travel across the Brahmaputra and reach Majuli in Assam.

The yatra resumed on Friday morning from Nimati Ghat in Assam's Jorhat. While on the boat, Rahul was seen engaging in conversations with his supporters on the boat, a few of whom were also seen waving the party's flag on the boat's front.

As per the schedule of Day 6, the yatra will move towards Kamalabari Chriali to Aphalamukh, where the Congress leader will visit Sri Sri Auniati Satra in Johrat, Assam.

Subsequently, the yatra will resume from Garamur and halt for a break at the Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex in Jengraimukh, Majuli. After this, Rahul Gandhi will take the bus to reach Dhakuakhana in the afternoon before taking an evening break at Gogamukh, where Rahul will address the public.

The last stop for Friday will be Gogamukh Colony Playground, where the yatra will conclude for the day.

The Yatra hit a roadblock on Thursday when an FIR was against the rally and its chief organiser KB Byju for allegedly deviating from the approved route in Jorhat.

On day 5, the yatra had begun near Nagaland's Post Office in Tuli from where Gandhi entered Assam.

Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is set to complete 6700 plus kilometres in around 67 days, traverse 110 districts and 15 states along the way, and conclude in Mumbai by March 20 or 21.
