Bengali actress Payel Chakraborty found dead in a hotel room in Siliguri

Tollywood actress Payel Chakraborty was found dead in a Siliguri hotel. A police investigation is underway in the matter.

New Delhi: Bengali actress Payel Chakraborty was found dead in a hotel room in Siliguri on Wednesday evening. As per reports in the local media channels, the actress had checked in the city’s Church Road area on Tuesday. The cause of the death is still not known. Though it has not yet been ascertained whether it is a suicide or a murder, preliminary investigation hint at suicide. The police are probing the incident from all angles. The actress was reportedly suffering from mental stress. As per report in Times of India, Payel had to leave for Gangtok on Wednesday morning. The hotel management informed police when Payel did not open the door of her room after repeated knocks. She has done a number of small roles in television series and movies.
