Bengal Elections 2021: Nadda's Mega Rath Yatra In Nadia To Clash With TMC's Massive Motorcycle Rally Today

Ahead of the upcoming Bengal elections BJP President JP Nadda is set to launch 'Rath Yatra' which the saffron party has named 'paribartan yatra' in Nadia district today. BJP's rath yatra is likely to clash with TMC's motorcycle rally.

The poll-bound state West Bengal is already facing the political heat as the tussle between Bhartiya Janata Party and Trinamool Congress continues. While the Election Commission will soon announce the dates of the West Bengal 2021 elections, BJP is leaving no stone unturned to attack Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and influence people with their massive campaigns. BJP national President JP Nadda is all set to launch the party’s ‘Rath Yatra’ in the poll-bound West Bengal today.

BJP national president JP Nadda will launch the two-day roadshow, 'paribartan yatra' (journey for change), at Nabadwip, known as one of the most sacred places for Hindu pilgrims, at around 3 pm. Nadda's mega roadshow will pass through all 15 assembly constituencies in Nadia in two days.

However, confusion prevailed till Friday evening over its prospects as Nadia district administration is yet to accord permission for the Rath Yatra.

Although the BJP claimed it has received permission, the district police insisted it is for a public meeting and not the Rath Yatra.

TMC's largest motorcycle rally today

While BJP is all set to launch the mega rally, poll-bound West Bengal can witness massive chaos at Nadia district as Trinamool Congress will also launch its biggest rally in the district with 10,000 motorcycles and tableaus.

The TMC’s bike rally named as 'janasamarthan yatra' (journey for mass support) is likely to clash with Nadda's Rath Yatra as the rally will cover 8 constituencies during the same time.

A huge traffic jam is likely to affect the common people of West Bengal today as the TMC motorcycle rally will begin at 10 am and will criss cross Nadda's path around 3pm.

BJP state vice-president Pratap Banerjee, in a letter to Chief Secretary Alapan Bandopadhyay, said the party was planning to launch five rallies at different places starting February 6.

Several top BJP leaders will arrive in West Bengal during the month-long campaign which will start from Nabadwip on Saturday. The party is also planning to launch similar yatras from Coochbehar, Kakdwip in South 24 Parganas, Jhargram and Tarapith in Birbhum between February 6 and 11.

Meanwhile, BJP state president Dilip Ghosh has said that the Rath Yatra will be a game-changer in West Bengal politics as it will kick off a wave of support in favour of the BJP.
