Ayodhya Turns Into Fortress With 2 Security Zones As City Gears Up For Ram Lalla's 'Pran Pratishtha' On Jan 22
To ensure comprehensive security for the upcoming Ram temple complex, the security in the temple city has been divided into two zones- red and yellow.
New Delhi: Ahead of the 'Pran Pratishtha' of Ram Mandir on January 22, security has been tightened in Ayodhya. With the consecration ceremony gradually approaching, there is a possibility that lakhs of devotees from all over the country and world will flock to the holy city for the occasion.
To ensure comprehensive security for the upcoming Ram temple complex, the security in the temple city has been divided into two zones- red and yellow.
The Ram Janmabhoomi complex has been placed under the red zone.
6 companies of CRPF, 3 companies of PAC, 9 companies of SSF, 300 police personnel, 47 firefighters, 38 NDRF personnel, and 40 Radio Police personnel have been entrusted with the security of the Ram Temple and its premises.
Two teams of bomb detection and disposal squad, two teams of anti-sabotage squad, and one commando unit of PAC, one unit each of ATS and STF, Central agencies, including NSG, will also be deployed.
In the Yellow Zone, there will be security for the Kanak Bhavan and Hanumangarhi areas.
The security deployment in the Yellow Zone will include 34 Sub-Inspectors, 71 Head Constables, and 312 Constables.
A budget of 90 crores has been allocated for the security of Ayodhya, with expenditures on security equipment.
