Attempts To Turn Lakhimpur Violence Into Hindu-Sikh Faultlines, Says BJP MP Varun Gandhi
BJP MP Varun Gandhi has said that there is an attempt to use the Lakhimpur Violence to create faultlines between Hindu and Sikh communities.
New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Varun Gandhi on Sunday took to Twitter saying that there is an attempt to use the Lakhimpur Violence to create faultlines between Hindu and Sikh communities.
Varun Gandhi on his official Twitter handle writes, "An attempt to turn Lakhimpur Kheri into a Hindu vs Sikh battle is being made. Not only is this an immoral & false narrative, but it is also dangerous to create these fault-lines & reopen wounds that have taken a generation to heal. We must not put petty political gains above national unity."

Earlier on Thursday, the BJP MP Varun Gandhi from Pilibhit constituency in Uttar Pradesh posted a video of two cars running over the group of anti-farm laws protesters at Lakhimpur Kheri. He further demanded accountability and justice for the innocent civilian lives lost in the Lakhimpur Kheri incident.
"The video is crystal clear. Protestors cannot be silenced through murder. There has to be accountability for the innocent blood of farmers that has been spilled and justice must be delivered before a message of arrogance and cruelty enters the minds of every farmer," he tweeted on Thursday.

Hours after the leader posted the video, the BJP dropped the names of Varun Gandhi along with Maneka Gandhi from the 80 member National Executive list.
Farmer leaders alleged that Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Misra's son was in one of the SUVs which allegedly ran over the protesters.
