Assam: Militants kill 12 civilians in market area in Kokrajhar

New Delhi: Twelve persons have been killed in an open firing by militants in Assam’s Kokrajhar town.   Reports there was a grenade blast before the firing in the town's vegetable market.   It is still unclear as to which group these militants belonged to.  Security forces are currently exchanging gunfire to neutralize the militants.   More details are awaited.
