Aryan Khan Should Be Sent To Rehabilitation Centre Instead Of Jail: Union Minister's Advice To NCB And SRK
Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale said that a new law should be formulated soon, according to which, the accused will not be sent to jail.
New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale on Sunday advised Shah Rukh Khan to send his son, Aryan Khan to a drug de-addiction centre.
"It is not good to take drugs at a young age. Aryan Khan has a future ahead. I advise Shah Rukh Khan to send Aryan Khan to a de-addiction rehabilitation centre associated with the ministry. He should be there for 1-2 months instead of keeping him in jail. There are a lot of such centres across the country. In 1-2 months, he will be cured of drug addiction," Athawale was quoted by ANI in its report.
He further said that a new law should be formulated soon, according to which, the accused will not be sent to jail.
While lauding the investigations conducted by the NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhade, Union Minister said, "At least 5-6 times, the court has received a bail petition but was rejected. This shows that NCB has full approval and it is wrong to say that his arrest is unlawful."
Earlier, NCP leader Nawab Malik had levelled various allegations against Wankhede including filing fake cases against celebrities. "They (BJP) have a puppet - Wankhede. He raises bogus cases against people. I challenge that Wankhede that he'll lose his job within a year. You came to jail us, people of this nation won't be silent without seeing you behind bars. We have evidence of bogus cases,” Malik was quoted by ANI in its report.
In response to the accusations levelled by the NCP leader Nawab Malik against Wankhede, Ramdas Athawale said, "Nawab Malik is attempting character assassination of Sameer Wankhede. I request Nawab Malik to not falsely accuse someone."
