Ammo India 2022: Rajnath Singh To Attend 2nd Military Ammunition Conference - Check Details

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will be attending the 2nd Military Ammunition Conference 'Ammo India 2022' scheduled to be held from July 27 to 28, 2022. The conference is being organized by FICCI in association with the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS).
Along with Singh, General Manoj Pande will also be attending the conference. The conference will be held at FICCI, Federation House, 1 Tansen Marg, New Delhi – 110 001.
"Ammunition is a defining measure of any Nation’s strength, power, and security. India has been through its uncertainties in terms of availability of requisite ammunition during the recent stand-off with our adversaries. It is pertinent for India to have an indigenous and robust manufacturing of Ammo to meet the ever-growing requirements of the entire tri-services. Ministry of Defence (MOD), Government of India has been able to introduce proactive and pathbreaking reforms over the last few years to push Atmanirbharta in Defence," FICCI's issued statement reads.
The vast variety of ammunition requirements for the entire armed forces—the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy—will be covered during the second iteration of this international conference.

In 2018, the FICCI and the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS) jointly launched "AMMO India 2018," the nation's first-ever international conference on ammunition, with the goal of bringing to the forefront the needs of the Indian Army and the opportunities for the industry as well as educating the forces about domestic capabilities and the potential for foreign collaboration to introduce key technologies, according to the statement.
The conference, which was the first of its type in India, was highly regarded and extremely helpful to both the business community and end users.
