Amma's 118 crore of wealth: Who will be the successor of Jayalalithaa's mammoth property?

New Delhi: The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa expired on Monday night in Apollo Hospitals in Chennai after a cardiac arrest but left behind her tremendous wealth and property. Now who will be the heir, is the million dollar question. But before answering this question, let us first tell you how much wealth and property she had. Gold and silver: In her last affidavit given during 2016 election, she informed Election Commission of India that she had 21 kg 280 grams of gold. Its present value in terms of Rupee is 6 crore 45 lakh. She also informed that she had 1250 kg silver whose market value is Rs 4 crore 87 lakh rupees. Combined value of both is Rs 11 crore 32 lakh. Property: The bungalow in which Amma was living in Chennai-Veda Nilayam-is of Rs 43 crore. She bought the same in the year 1967 at only Rs 1 lakh 32 thousand. In Chennai, she had three commercial buildings and a building in Hyderabad which are equal to approximately Rs 13 crore. In addition to these, in Telangana's Rangareddy district and in Tamil Nadu's Kanchipuram district Amma had bought 14 acres and 4 acres of land, respectively. Both of these are having market worth of around Rs 18 crore. Vehicles: Amma was also found of cars and according to the affidavit, she had in total, 9 four wheelers. Real estate: In the real estate sector too she had invested Rs 27 crore 44 lakh in five companies. Bank accounts: As per the affidavit, Jayalalitha had in total Rs 10 crore 63 lakh deposited in her accounts. Total movable and immovable property of ex-CM of TN is more than Rs 118 crore. There is a suspense around who will be her successor. But according to the rumours, her close friend Sasikala may be her heir.
