ABP Shikhar Sammelan: 'Will Raise Demand For NRC Exercise In Jharkhand' Says CM Raghubar Das
CM Raghubar Das said the NRC exercise would help identify the Bangladeshis living illegally in the state and to deport them subsequently.
New Delhi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das, on Tuesday, said that his government will propose the Centre to update the citizen’s list in the state on the lines of Assam NRC exercise to solve the problem of Bangladeshi infiltrators.
Speaking with ABP News in its flagship summit Shikhar Sammelan held ahead of the crucial assembly polls, Raghubar Das said that the NRC exercise would help identify the Bangladeshis living illegally in the state and to deport them subsequently.
The first non-tribal CM of the state, exuded confidence of winning the upcoming assembly polls and claimed that the BJP will win all the 81 seats of the state legislature.
Jharkand has 82 Assembly seats of which one is nominated.
“For me holding the post of the Chief Minister is not important but service of people is important. I would not object even if the party decides to make somebody else the CM,” Das said.
Hitting out at the previous governments, Das said: “None of the previous governments worked for the development of the tribals in the state, but in the last four and a half years, the BJP government has made policies for the benefit of the tribal people and for other deprived sections.”
With a few months to go for the Jharkhand polls, the BJP is all set to begin its election campaign with the present Chief Minister Raghubar Das as the face of its leader in the state.
The state party unit launched its campaign with the "Ghar-ghar Raghubar" campaign on lines similar to the successful BJP slogan of "Ghar-ghar Modi".
The state BJP President Lakshman Giluva said here that the aim of the "Ghar-ghar Raghubar" campaign is to ensure that party workers reach out to each household across the state and apprise them about the initiatives taken by the state and the Central governments.
