ABP Shikhar Sammelan: Vikram Majithia Attacks Congress, Says Channi's Selection To Post Of CM Is Compromise
Majithia said Congress has cheated everyone including the farmers, the unemployed, the industry, and the Dalits. After doing this, they cannot run away from responsibility.
ABP Shikhar Sammelan: Ahead of the Punjab assembly elections, ABP News has organized the summit to gauge the pulse of the state. Punjab's top leaders are participating in the summit. Vikramjit Singh Majithia said the selection of Channi to the post of the CM is a 'compromise'. We call Congress 'kale angrez' (Black British). He accused the Congress party of following the policy of divide and rule.
"We want Channi to be allowed to work. Channi ji is just being used as a pawn," he said.
Majithia said, "Till the time Pargat Singh was with us, we were okay. It is because of the Akali Dal that Channi has reached here. The Shiromani Akali Dal has always opposed the Amarinder government. AAP and Congress is playing a fixed match. We have cornered the Amarinder government on every issue. We had opposed former CM Amarinder Singh on farmers issue and all other issues.''
Majithia said Congress has cheated everyone including the farmers, the unemployed, the industry, and the Dalits. After doing this, they cannot run away from responsibility. He said Charanjeet Singh Channi was not the first choice of the Gandhi family. He added that 70% of the cabinet has been retained and further questioned if it has any responsibility towards the people. He took a jibe at the Congress and said that this is the government of Alibaba and forty thieves.
Majithia said Amarinder Singh did not fulfill even one of his promises. Congress cannot run away from its responsibility by changing its face. If our government is formed, a face from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will be given the post of deputy CM. ABP News questions: "Congress made a Dalit the CM, but in Akali Dal, the father is made the CM, and son is made deputy CM." Majithia said, "We have replied Those who are thinking on those lines should first remember the promises they made to the people."
